Extract from ARE YOU SITTING WELL?
By Boris Ronvig, Licensed relaxation instructor, ergonomic consultant.
Reproduced from " Dental Advisen" March 1996
"Research shows that pain in the lower back, spine,
shoulders and the neck increases as a function of
the time that the person is sitting in a position which
is ergonomically unsuitable
Bambach Saddle Seat is a unique Australian 'discovery'
which, in one fell swoop, has solved the ergonomic
problems with the sitting position."

Mind Your Backs Now
By Gerry Watson, Dentist

"Have you ever sat in your surgery and day dreamed
About what you are going to do when you retire? I know
that my father who was a dentist did and on the due date
The boat was bought and the new golf clubs unwrapped.
However, like for so many it didn't go according to plan
as, since retiring, he has spent a huge percentage of his
time either wracked with pain or in hospital having back
Operations. The boat has gone and even I can beat him at golf.
………….I have been using one of these seats for about two
Months now. People within the surgery have commented
on my better posture and certainly my back feels better
and the sciatica has gone………………

Assessment of dental student posture in two seated conditions using RULA methodology-a pilot study.

British Dental Journal Vol203 No 10 Nov 24 2007
RULA has identified that dental students using a Bambach Saddle Seat were able to maintain an acceptable working posture during simulated dental treatment and this seating may reduce the development of work-related musculoskeletal disorder.

Chantal Baudin
Le Chruggien-Dentiste De France( The French Dental Surgeon) no 906,8October 1998, translated from French
"…Practically unanimously electing in favour of the Bambach Saddle Seat, in respect to well-being felt, Ms Verkindere concludes that, compared to the standard seat which has demonstrated its harmful nature for the back, the dynamic sitting position-the spinal column quite straight, the vertebral discs absolutely uncompressed on a slightly super elevated and very stable seat-appears clearly more favourable."
